It's no L glass, but images near the center of the sphere are pretty sharp, they do loose sharpness pretty quickly around the edges.
This is not a $600.00 or more wide angle lens for my Canon 550D, but for the price it is a lot of fun and has given me great results. Two fellow camera buffs saw the lens and played with it for a while and then had me order one for each of them. That says a lot about the quality and value.
